Where Would I Live in Victoria?

British Columbia's Economy: Currently we boast the strongest economy in Canada. We are running a surplus and the proposed budget for 2017 is also strong.

Whether you are planning a permanent move or just want to escape winters, Victoria offers a variety of options. The inner harbour and downtown Victoria offer some attractive condo/townhouse options without the challenges of maintenance and security. There is a restaurant to satisfy every palette and most options are within walking distance.

Because the Island is small any district is usually less than 30 minutes drive. The BC ferry or Victoria airport, YYJ, from downtown would be a commute of just less than 30 minutes. Victoria is very environmentally friendly with extensive bike and walking trails. You can take the Galloping Goose trail from downtown Victoria all the way to Sooke.

Victoria is divided into several regions. Saanich is the largest, Oak Bay, Victoria, Victoria West, Esquimalt, View Royal and the western communities. These include Colwood, Langford and Metchosin.

There is also easy access to the Coho ferry and the Victoria Clipper from the inner harbour. Whether you are seeking a weekend getaway to Seattle or taking your car for a trip to Port Angeles. The Sydney harbour offers a ferry to Anacortes regularly as well.

We have always been impressed with how clean the air and water are. The added bonus is that there are rarely mosquitoes so shortly after we moved here we removed the screens from our windows and spend the evenings on the deck.

When are you moving to paradise?
